Basic Electrical
An electrician can cost you hundreds of dollars for simple repairs.
Don’t live with problems, save money by doing simple repairs
yourself! This hands-on class will have you replacing switches
and wall outlets, as well as learning to rewire a lamp. Bring a
wire stripper, straight-slot screwdriver and long-nosed pliers, if
you have them. Supply fee of $5 for “Step-by-Step Home Wiring
Guidebook,” paid to instructor at class. Class fee: $49.

Basic Plumbing
Learn to repair minor plumbing problems and save precious
money in the process. Take apart different types of faucets,
replace a pop-up drain assembly and discuss the internal working
parts of a toilet. Cut plastic and copper pipe, glue plastic fittings
and solder copper fittings. Supply fee of $5 for “Step-by-Step

Deck Building 101
Planning to build or rebuild a deck? Come learn from a master
carpenter how to make it a reality! Discuss building codes, deck
designs and types, space considerations, footings, attachment,
moisture concerns, tool needs, building materials and more.
Participants should have basic knowledge of carpentry. Bring
pictures of your space to review with instructor (optional).
