Appraise Your Antiques Make Your Own Fishing Rod
Learn the basics of identifying and appraising art, antiques,
jewelry, coins and collectibles. Get tips on what makes items
valuable and the best ways to sell them. You will learn about
lithophane, trench art, U.S. Zone china, a U.S. three cent nickel,
precious gemstones, mourning jewelry and German silver.
Experience hands-on learning with certified appraiser and
instructor, David Schlueter. Extensive handouts provided.
Class fee: $29. Build your own fishing rod from start to finish. Choose from a
spinning or baitcasting 6 ft. 6 in. medium/light rod ($100) or
extendible Muskie rod 6 ft. 6 in. to 8 ft. 6 in. ($150). A completed
fishing rod, depending on the craftsmanship, can be valued in
excess of $300. Please indicate when registering what type of rod
you will make. Contact Gary at 612-810-6046 with rod specific
questions. Bring a bag lunch. Supply fee of $100- $150 cash or

NEW | Finding History: Metal Detecting 101 NEW | RV Repair
Discover a fun new way to enjoy the outdoors! You will learn the
basics on how to get started in metal detecting; from equipment
used, where to search, rules, ethics and much more will be
covered. Doug will also share his experiences, stories, photos
and examples of actual relics he has found on his historical
treasure hunt adventures. Class fee: $45. Do you own an RV and need insight on trouble shooting and
repairs? If so, you don’t want to miss out on this class! This
hands-on class will answer all of your questions and cover RV
101 trouble shooting, 110/12 volt systems, hot water repair, gas/
electric refrigeration repair, furnace repair, power conversions,
water by-pass systems, generator repair and winterizing.
Instructor was a certified technician as well as a service manager
at an RV and Camper company for 16 years. See website for

NEW | Stories of a World War II Medic
Join author, Paul Arneson, as he shares letters, journal entries
and photos of his brother-in-law’s experiences as a medic during
World War II. Before the war, Bayer Ross worked as a tailor in his
father’s dry cleaning shop in the southwestern Minnesota town of
Mountain Lake. During World War II, he served in the army as a
medic and saw action in North Africa, Sicily, the D-Day invasion,
and even worked in a concentration camp. Class fee: $15.

Backyard Birding
Birding is a hobby that can provide you with a lifetime of
learning in any season. Join instructors, Ron Taube and David
Elfelt for this exciting class that’s all about the birds! Gain
experience identifying various species of birds, their behavior
and how to attract them to your own backyard. First session
meets in the classroom, future classes are either classroom or
