DRAWING AND PAINTING
NEW | Acrylic Pouring-Dirty Pour Technique
Acrylic paint pouring is an exciting method for making unique,
abstract art. In this class, we’ll start by learning about pouring
mediums and how to mix paints to get consistent results. There
will be a couple demonstrations, then you’ll get to create a
unique painting of your own on a 9 in. x 12 in. canvas. In this
session, we’ll learn a couple “dirty pour” techniques and how
to make cells in your paintings. All supplies are included! Wear
old clothes, it’s a messy medium. Paintings will need time to dry,
so you will need to pick up your painting the following week.

Acrylics-Minneapolis Skyline
Join instructor, Dan McAvey, for a night of acrylic painting, while
sipping on a glass of wine! Dan will guide you through each step
and teach you the skills to create a beautiful canvas painting of
the Minneapolis skyline at night. Canvas measures 16 in. x 20 in.
One glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage included in class
price. Additional beverages available for a fee (optional). All
levels welcome. Class held at Two Rivers Vineyard and Winery in
Ramsey. Classes held on the second level. Please let us know if
accommodations are needed. Class fee: $39.

Drawing in The Park
What better place to learn to draw than in the park? Educator
and artist, MaryLeah Marshall, will provide guidance as you
develop your drawing skills focusing on line, shape, value, space
and texture while using nature and the outdoors as your frame
of reference. All levels of drawing are welcome. See website for

NEW | Bob Ross Oil Painting
Have you ever wanted to try oil painting, but didn’t know where
to start? Start Here! Kittie & Warren are PBS star Bob Ross
certified instructors. In one class, you will paint a picture to take
home with you. The painting will be of a spring nature scene. All
class supplies provided. Bring an apron or old shirt to class to
cover your clothing. Class fee: $60.

Come paint a portrait of your furry loved one. Pet portraits
make amazing gifts. After you register, email a high quality jpeg
photo of your pet to julieann.johnson@ahschools at Community
Education with the subject line, Pet Portraits. One pet per
person/canvas please. Photos must be received at least one
week prior to the class date. Your pet will be hand drawn onto a
16 in. x 20 in. canvas for you to paint in class with the help of a
professional artist. All supplies are provided. Class fee: $55.
