NEW | Backyard Chickens for Beginners
Chicks, chickens, and flocks. Learn the basics of starting a flock
of backyard chickens. Topics and handouts will include popular
breeds, general care of poultry, and preparing your coop. Learn

Deck Building 101
Planning to build or rebuild a deck? Come learn from a master
carpenter how to make it a reality! Discuss building codes, deck
designs and types, space considerations, footings, attachment,
moisture concerns, tool needs, building materials, and more.
Participants should have basic knowledge of carpentry. Instructor:
Master Carpenter, Francis Kaas. Class fee: $39.

DIY-Basic Electrical
An electrician can cost you hundreds of dollars for simple repairs.
Don’t live with problems, save money by doing simple repairs
yourself! This hands-on class will have you replacing switches
and wall outlets, as well as learning to re-wire a lamp. Bring a
wire stripper, straight-slot screwdriver and a long-nosed pliers, if
you have them. Supply fee of $5 for “Step by Step Home Wiring
Guidebook,” paid to instructor at class. Class fee: $49.
Power Tools for Women I
Explore the world of power tools and woodworking in this
introductory, hands-on class. Week one: Learn to safely use drills,
sanders, routers and saws. Everyone will use all tools. Week two:
Complete a small woodworking project to take home. Note: Long
hair must be tied back and no loose clothing for safety reasons.
Bring safety goggles, tape measure and pencil. Supply fee of $45
paid to instructor at class. Class fee: $49.

Power Tools for Women II
Continue the learning and woodworking fun in this sequel to
“Power Tools for Women I” by making a beautiful woodworking
project you can call your own. You will make a small end table with
a bookshelf underneath. Must be able to transport project home
after first class and back the second class. Note: Long hair must
be tied back and no loose clothing for safety reasons. Prerequisite:
Power Tools for Women I. Bring safety goggles, tape measure and
