T’ai Chi Ch’uan
CPR-Health Care Provider/BLS-New/Renew
Experience the gentle flowing movements of T’ai Chi and treat
your whole body to a gentle and relaxing workout. Say goodbye
to sweating, puffing and panting. Feel cool, calm, refreshed and
energized. This is an excellent, low-impact, non-contact physical
fitness program. Bring water. Class fee: $45.
Course covers one and two rescuer for CPR and foreign
body airway obstruction. Also includes the use and training
in Automated External Defibrillator (AED), mouth and mask,
bag valve mask (BVM) and brain attack is reviewed and skilled.
Passing a written exam is required. Recommended for health
care providers, EMS, civil servants, dental, lifeguards and others
wanting to gain or renew certification. Receive American Heart
Association two-year certification. Bring a self-addressed stamped
envelope for certification card. Renew participants should arrive to
class at 6:30 p.m. Supply fee of $25 paid to instructor to include
textbook and certification card. Class fee: $75 new; $65 renew.

with shock, bleeding, wounds and other medical related injuries.
Receive certification card valid for two years in class. Bring a bag
lunch. Supply fee of $25 paid to instructor to include textbook

DRIVING
55+ Defensive Driving
Every five seconds a crash occurs and every twelve minutes
someone dies in a traffic crash. Update your driving skills while
becoming eligible to receive a 10 percent discount on your car
insurance. Include your name as it appears on your driver’s license
and driver’s license number with registration. Prerequisite for 4-hour
refresher: 55+ Defensive Driving-8-hour. Bring a bag lunch for the
full-day class. Class fee: $25 4-hour refresher; $29 8-hour new.
