Stargazing with Mike Lynch
Join in the excitement and fun that is birding. Gain the knowledge
to identify at least 50 species of birds and their behavior.
Understand birds in your neighborhood and how to attract birds
to your own backyard. First session meets in the classroom; future
classes are field trips, including optional Saturday morning field
trips to be discussed at first class. This popular class will only be
offered once this year! Instructor: Lyle Bradley. Not meeting
May 25. Class fee: $59.
Come watch the great celestial show in the skies with
meteorologist Mike Lynch. An indoor orientation is followed
by quality time outside under the stars. Use large reflecting
telescopes, including two of the biggest mobile telescopes in
Minnesota for close-up views of star clusters, nebulae, galaxies and
more. For adults and families with children age six and older. Bring
lawn chair and dress for the weather. Class fee: $19.

Research & Appraise Your Coin Collections
Learn the basics of researching and appraising your U.S. and
foreign coins. Examine and identify 100-year-old U.S. and foreign
coins. Gain knowledge about: the ins and outs of where to buy and
sell coins, coin authentication and much more. Participants will be
asked to do internet research on coins and share what they have
learned in the second class. Three coins and one magnifying glass
per participant provided by instructor, yours to keep. This class is
not intended for experienced coin buffs, but all are welcome.
The class will not include information about tokens or medallions.
Class fee: $45.

NEW | Saluting the Civil War
Photographer and writer, Doug Ohman, has traversed across the
state to capture the memories of those from Minnesota that served
in the Civil War. From historic Lakewood Cemetery to the forgotten
back roads graveyards, Ohman has photographed and researched
hundreds of grave markers. Through his photos and stories,
Ohman will explore local Civil War monuments and national
battlefields where the boys from Minnesota courageously served.
Books available for purchase after program. Class fee:
$25 one; $35 two.

Go on a Minnesota vacation with photographer Doug Ohman
as he explores many of the states most interesting state parks.
Ohman has visited all 66 parks and has photos, stories, history
and personal adventures to share. Spend time learning more
about Minnesota state parks, relive memories of your own visits,
or get excited about upcoming summer travel. Books available for

beings. Get clarification about the earth realm, haunted places, and
types of ghosts such as human spirits, animal spirits and poltergeist.

Offered only once this year! Get ideas to travel free or even make
money traveling-including airfare, hotels, tours, cruises, meals, and
more. Discuss ways to earn extra income-such as mystery shop,
import, teach English, organize trips, write articles, shoot photos,
or get paid to drive-plus saving travel information and safety tips.
Instructor, Gina Henry, is a national speaker who has lived the
travel for free life for 25 years. Supply fee of $15 for book paid to
instructor at class (optional). Class fee: $35.
