The pointed pen for calligraphy is a versatile tool used
for the classic and graceful Spencerian and Copperplate
Scripts. The thick and thin strokes are made by the
press and release technique creating beautiful letters.
Flourishing and other ornamental designs will be
demonstrated. Supply fee of $10 paid to instructor at

Calligraphy-Foundational & Uncial Hand
The beauty of calligraphy comes from the thick and
thins created by the broad-edge dip pen. Learn two
scripts including the Foundational Hand, based on the
round O and thought by many professionals as the
best place to start, and then move on to learning the
Uncial Hand, unique because it doesn’t have capitals.
Use calligraphic lettering to create elegant quotes,
cards, poems, and invitations. Supply fee of $15 paid to
instructor at class for pens, ink and paper. Not meeting

NEW | Candle Making
Whether a seasoned artisan or a budding enthusiast, candle
making offers something for everyone interested in learning the
craft. Make a long lasting candle (40 hours or more) using soy wax
flakes and scented oils. Learn the process to make them on your
own! Supply fee of $9 paid to instructor, Roni Crane, at class.
Class fee: $19.
Crochet-Beginning
Crochet is fast and fun. Learn the basics of crochet including
chaining, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitches and color
changes. Plus, discover what yarns and threads should be used for
each project and how to block a finish piece. Bring scissors. Supply
fee of $6 paid to instructor at class. Class fee: $39.

Learn basic embroidery stitches, where to find designs and how to

Transform everyday serving pieces using hand-sculpted wire and
an assortment of glass beads. Chic and elegant flatware makes
for a great gift or addition to your table. Bring a wire cutter and

Fairy House Sculpture
Encased by your beautiful annuals is a magical little home where
your garden fairy lives. Create your outdoor art using concrete as
a medium. Glass, buttons and other materials can be set into the
concrete to give added detail. The first night you will shape your
fairy house. The second night, come inspired to paint your garden
focal point. Finished fairy house is approximately 12 in. high. Dress
for a mess both nights. Class held at Garden Treasures in Anoka.
