Electric Bike Experience

Trailhead Cycling is providing an electric bike experience just for you ! Trailhead will provide the e-bike , show you how they work and then take you on an e-bike ride through the Elm Creek Park trails ! It is the perfect way to experience an e-bike . Helmets , hydration , bike and guide provided . Class will meet at Trailhead Cycling in Champlin .

NEW | Armchair Travels : Theodore Roosevelt National Park

Theodore Roosevelt National Park is unique among national parks as it preserves not only the stunning landscape of the area , but also the memory of an extraordinary person . Roosevelt visited the area in 1883 to hunt bison and went on to have a ranch there . Join our instructor as he shows you some of the landscapes in the park as well as the wildlife you might find such as wild horses , buffalo , antelope and more .

Make a Difference

Feel good about making a difference ! Learn about volunteer opportunities in Anoka County serving children , adults , seniors , groups and / or families . Many short- and long-term opportunities are available . Presented by Anoka County Volunteer Alliance ( ACVA ). Although this is a free class , pre-registration is required .

NEW | Introduction to Metal Detecting and Treasure Hunting

Learn the basics of metal detectors , how they work and what different types are out there . During this introductory class , learn the proper way to dig a plug , to retrieve a target , as well as the etiquette of leaving things better than you found them at any site you visit . There will be actual recovered artifacts , coins and jewelry as well as metal detectors and equipment on display . Bring your questions , curiosity and sense of adventure with you as you learn about this exciting hobby ! Students ages 12-17 are welcome to register with an adult . ƒ ƒ

Guitar — Beginning

Begin a musical journey by learning how to play common chords on the guitar and gain the skills needed to play popular songs . You will learn harmony , proper technique and rhythmic skills to advance your guitar playing abilities . Bring your own acoustic or electric guitar , notebook and pencil .

Ballroom Dance for Beginners

Practice steps and turns in popular ballroom dances , including swing , waltz , foxtrot , salsa , and more . Enjoy dancing to music frequently played at weddings and most social gatherings . This is the perfect course for anyone getting married or preparing for an upcoming event . Have a fun-filled weekly date while acquiring a skill to last a lifetime . Dance moves are easy and you ’ re sure to be successful ! Teens and adults of all ages are welcome ! Come with or without a partner . Couples dance with their own partner . Singles rotate with other singles . Couples must register individually .

Party Line Dance

Cupid Shuffle , Cha Cha Slide and Electric Slide . Three fun line dances that will get you off your chair and onto the dance floor ! Isn ’ t it time to join the party ? No partner needed for an entire evening of fun !

Swing Sampler

Swing is a timeless , energetic and versatile dance that can be performed to a variety of music styles . Learn footwork , patterns and communication to the four count swing hustle , and single time swing . If you ’ re looking for a new leisure activity to just have fun with friends , swing dancing has it all . Instructor Carol Brecht- Wiles has been making dance fun for more than 20 years . Wear hard-soled shoes . Couples only please .
