The best boards contain many elements that can be prepped ahead, so cook along with Kirsten as she makes quick pickled vegetables and spiced nuts. Then follow along – or take notes for later – as she adds fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and / or dips then kicks it up a notch with edible garnishes. We’ ll talk about what elements make up a well-rounded cheese board, how to arrange cured meats for charcuterie boards, when to go beyond the traditional and how to source local products.

Korean Street Food – New Menu!
One of the most healthful of the Asian cuisines, delicious Korean cuisine features mainly vegetables and harmonized sauces. In this online interactive class, we will make delicious kimchi stew( kimchi jiigae) and stir-fried sweet potato noodles with beef( japchae). We will finish up the class with Korean apple tea with ginger and cinnamon( SuJeongGwa).

Japanese Miso Ramen from Scratch
This class is not about instant ramen. In fact, we will be making Japanese miso ramen from scratch. Then, we’ ll braise cha shu chicken and make miso broth. We will serve our ramen with marinated soft-boiled eggs and different toppings.

Holiday Treats
Come ready to bake and take home 10 dozen cookies and candies to enjoy this holiday season. You will be working in stations, each making a different treat. There will be a great variety for you to share with family and friends! This is a hands-on class. Allergy note: All treats may be in contact with nuts, dairy and wheat products. Bring containers. Mile High Apple Pie
Fall is in the air! With that comes apple season. This is the time of year to make the very best apple pie. If you say,“ I can’ t make pies” then this class is for you. Nancy will take you through all the steps, from making a crust, to preparing all the filling for your pie using the freshest apples. You will be surprised how easy it is! Each student will leave class with a hot apple pie to share with family and friends. Boxes will be provided. Please bring a rolling pin, if you have one.

NEW | Parent / Child Cooking Basics!
Not comfortable in the kitchen? Looking for something to do with your son or daughter? This class includes basic cooking skills, menu planning, meal prep and eating. This hands-on class will include some demonstration, menu and recipe review, creating a shopping list and then full participation in preparing the menu. We’ ll discuss what we did and learned and what we did and didn’ t like over the dinner we prepared. All supplies included. This class is for parents and children age 15 +.

Scones are wedges of slightly sweet baked biscuits, waiting to be slathered with a topping. Originating in Scotland, these tasty morsels are perfectly paired with a cup of fancy coffee or tea. Together we’ ll make several varieties including lemon poppyseed, orange cranberry, and raspberry white chocolate scones. We’ ll use healthy ingredients including wheat germ and oats to boost nutrition. Supply fee of $ 17 cash paid to the instructor at class.

With its Italian legacy, biscotti is a tasty cookie-like treat available at trendy coffee bars. Biscotti means twice-baked and that’ s how it acquires its hard chewy texture. These delicious snacks keep well and are generally low-calorie! We’ ll make and sample almond biscotti, double chocolate biscotti and pecan biscotti. Simple Sauerkraut at Home
Fall is harvest time and sauerkraut is a great way to preserve cabbage. This class is a great fermentation starting point and perfect for anyone who wants an introduction to basic fermentation. Fermented foods offer guthealing goodness when prepared in traditional methods. Includes an introduction to fermented vegetables, all the supplies to make your first batch of sauerkraut in class, stepby-step instructions, recipes for other types of sauerkraut, and three samples of different sauerkraut’ s.
