T’ai Chi Ch’uan
Today’s older adults face many challenges when it comes to taking
good care of themselves. This class is geared for those 50+ and
will provide information on how the older adult can be SMART;
by being a Savvy Shopper on varied incomes; Meal Minded for
optimum nutrition; how to remain Active; being Resource Ready
with “where to go” information provided; and Tip-top solutions
for handling physical, social, emotional and medical limitations.
Class is also beneficial for caregivers and those with aging parents.
Class fee: $35 one; $59 two.

Personal Defense for Women
Learn street realistic techniques against common attacks used
against women such as hair pulling, choking, being pinned against
an object or taken to the ground. Learn individual empowerment,
self-defense and Minnesota law dealing with domestic violence
and principles of avoidance and awareness. Instructor is Personal
Defense Readiness trained and has more than 20 years experience
as a police officer. Wear comfortable clothing. Class fee: $55.

Spring Forest Qigong
Qigong is a simple, effective and easy-to-learn method for helping
you experience your optimal health, wellness and happiness. By
learning to balance the energy in your body, you enhance your
physical, emotional and spiritual well being, relieving physical and
emotional pain, stress and other health issues. Qigong combines
gentle movements, breathing and visualization along with sound
and can be done while standing or sitting. This Level I Class
includes information along with instruction and practice of the
exercises. Instructor is SFQ Certified. Class fee: $59.
Got change? Throughout our life we experience change; marriage,
death, birth, health issues, job loss, etc. Whether we consider
the change to be positive or negative, dealing with it can be a
challenge. Learning how we process change and how to work our
way through it in a healthy and productive manner is key. Learn
how to work through change in a way that acknowledges and
honors our humanity. Class fee: $39.
