NEW | Adult Tap
Explore tap dance whether you are a beginner, former dancer
wanting to return to your passion or are looking for a new way to
get in shape. Learn interesting rhythms, steps, and combinations,
all while having fun in a positive and non-threatening atmosphere.
Focus is on clarity and intricacy. Bring tap or hard-soled shoes to

African Drumming
Explore dynamic traditional drum rhythms from Guinea, West
Africa. This open level class will teach beginner’s basic technique
and foundations of hand drumming and offer experienced
drummers the opportunity to broaden their repertoire and learn
challenging accompaniment. Come feel the beat! Instructor, Fode
Bangoura, is internationally recognized for his work appearing on
national television and touring the world. Supply fee of $5 for
on-site use of drums paid to instructor at class. Class fee: $45.

Easy Round Dancing
Round dancing offers the fun of ballroom dance music, but
the dances are called or “cued” like square dancing, so no
memorization is needed. Relax and enjoy the music, dancing and
socializing. Learn a variety of dances to enjoy and soon you’ll
be able to dance like the stars. This social dance class has been
tapping toes for 30 years - join the fun! Everyone is welcome.
A partner is preferred. Pre-registration not required. Meets
weekly throughout the year; see website for class meeting

Guitar I
Learn guitar basics in a relaxed group setting: 1st position
chords, tuning, how to read a chord symbol, proper hand
position and more. Participants will be able to play many songs
upon completion of this course. Laurel Benedict has been an
accomplished instructor and a local performer for many years.
Bring your guitar (either acoustic or electric with amp). Supply
fee of $6 for CD paid to instructor Laurel Benedict at class.

NEW | Guitar II-Blues Guitar
Blues music is universal with a rich history in America. Created
in the southeastern states by descendants of African slaves, it
has evolved into rock & roll and hip-hop. Learn 8 bar blues, 12
bar blues and major and minor blues songs as well as chord
progressions. Songs include: “Kansas City Blues”, “St. James
Infirmary”, “Heart Break Hotel” and “Hound Dog”. Laurel Benedict
has been an accomplished instructor and a local performer for
many years. Must know how to play these chords: E7, Em, A7, Am,
Dm, B7 and C7. Bring your guitar (either acoustic or electric with

Learn enough secrets of piano playing to give you years of musical
enjoyment. Instead of learning note reading, learn all the chords
you’ll need to play any song. If you can find middle C and know
the meaning of Every Good Boy Does Fine, you know enough to
enroll. Supply fee of $29 for workbook and practice CD paid to

Learn modern square dancing! An easy form of healthy and fun
exercise, square dancing is often called “friendship set to music.”
