2014 Money Smart Week Poster Contest
Winners Announced - Over 2,000 Posters Received
The Community Bankers of Iowa (CBI) once again hosted
the Money Smart Week Poster Contest. Money Smart Week
events were held the week of April 5-12, 2014.
Elementary students in grades 2nd through 6th submitted
poster designs to community banks across Iowa. Over 2,000
poster entries were received from schools all over the state.
Posters answered the question: “There’s a lot to learn about
money. What should you know now?” Since its inception, the
poster contest award one grand prize of a $200 CD. This year,
the prize offerings were increased. 1st prize will be awarded a
$500 CD, with 2nd and 3rd prizes being a $200 CD.
The First Place Winner of this year’s contest is Claire Graham,
6th Grade - Fort Madison Middle School, submitted by Lee
County Bank & Trust. Second Place Winner is Hope Naber,
Grade 2 - St. Francis Xavier School in Dyersville, submitted by
Fidelity Bank & Trust. Third Place Winner is Ashlyn Northmann
of Treynor Elementary, submitted by TS Bank.
