Elizabeth PaAL & Kathy ArmSTRONG

It started many years ago when Kathy started her engagement with the Junior League and continued to take on increasingly more significant roles, eventually serving as JLB President. "The leadership training I received from my JLB experiences was far greater than I ever would have suspected", Kathy said. Meanwhile, Elizabeth followed closely in her mom's footsteps, taking a very similar approach to fine tune her skills, destined to be a leader in business and the community. She joined the JLB in 2011 and soon after assumed a leadership role as co-chair of Membership. Through the JLB, they both learned the importance of goal setting, strategic planning, and mentoring.

With the same enthusiasm she developed in her JLB experiences, Kathy pivoted into the male-dominated field of finance and opened a financial planning practice at Heritage Financial Consultants in Hunt Valley. In 2010, Kathy and Elizabeth joined forces as a mother-daughter team in the financial planning practice, a decision that has proven to be powerful and meaningful. They applied their JLB skills and the rest is history. Like Kathy, Elizabeth is an alum of Leadership Baltimore County. They have both been recognized by The Daily Record as excelling in their professions and the two are Certified Financial Planners.

This dynamic duo values the importance of education and can frequently be seen giving financial planning presentations at JLB headquarters. The goal: to help fellow JLB members develop skills to achieve their own financial goals.

"Kathy and I are a great team. We are extremely lucky to have the opportunity to work together to make a difference in the lives of individuals, as well as improve the Baltimore community in which we live", Elizabeth said. "Every day is an adventure for us!"
