Reach Out and Read Rhode Island ’ s mission is to strengthen all families with young children through guidance from medical clinicians about nurturing relationships through shared reading .
background Reach Out and Read RI partners with nearly seventy pediatric sites to promote daily reading aloud from birth . At every well-child visit , children receive an age-appropriate book and caregivers gain essential literacy resources .
Brag lines For more than twenty-five years , RORRI has provided 1M + books to RI families , supporting 50K + children annually . Shared reading builds literacy skills , strengthens caregiver-pediatrician relationships , and enhances pediatricians ’ joy in practice .
