Make-A-Wish ® Massachusetts and Rhode Island creates lifechanging wishes for local children with critical illnesses . Our vision is to grant the wish of every eligible child in our region .
Background Every medically eligible child needs the healing , hope-filled power of a wish . Research shows that wishes have proven physical and emotional benefits that can give a child better health outcomes and increase their chances of survival .*
Brag Lines Since 1983 , we have granted wishes for over 10,400 local children . The impact endures long after a wish is granted and reaches far beyond the child and their family , inspiring all those who help fulfill it .
Pay it Forward There are countless ways you can help create transformative wish experiences for local children , including contributing financially or through in-kind goods or services , attending or organizing a fundraiser , or volunteering .
