Background Since 2017 , here at the FLY Initiative , it is our belief that students should have access to financial literacy resources regardless of race , ethnicity or socioeconomic background .
A culturally responsive curriculum , certified personal finance educators and experiential learning are combined to create a learning experience unlike any other in the state .
The FLY program powers students to achieve a lifetime of financial well-being and to discover a path to end generational poverty .

BRAG LINES The FLY Initiative is the FIRST and ONLY all-inclusive personal finance program in Rhode Island .
FLY delivers the gold standard of personal finance by offering a ten-module semester-long financial literacy program to under-resourced communities across the state .
In a short time , FLY has served its unique programming and curriculum to more than 6,500 individuals across Rhode Island , Massachusetts and New York . FLY has partnered with over 130 community and academic programs and is on track to reach more than 7,500 people in 2026 .
