Mission Statement
Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of homeless cats and kittens throughout Rhode Island by providing abandoned , unwanted and stray cats with food , shelter , veterinary care , rehabilitation and adoption into loving forever homes .
BACKGROUND Through our shelter , extensive network of volunteer foster families and relationships with animal control , TNR groups , other shelters and veterinarians , we efficiently coordinate housing , medical and adoption services .
BRAG LINES This year we leveraged contributions from our partnerships to launch much-needed low-cost spay / neuter service clinics for RI low-income cat owners . During their visit with us , the kitties also receive an exam , vaccines , flea treatment and a nail trim . Thus far we have spayed / neutered more than 100 kitties and we ’ re just getting started !
PAY IT FORWARD Cats and kittens rescued from the streets often require long-term treatment and / or complex surgeries . We invite you to partner with us in working to end the suffering and save lives by becoming a donor — there are so many more to save !
