Jaguars fi nish 2019 season with home divisional matchup against Colts

JACKSONVILLE – And then, there was one. Offense
After a long, winding, crazy, frustrating 2019 season,
it all comes down to Week 17 and one more chance to
produce a winning result. The Jaguars offense took their fi rst snap of last week’s
game in Atlanta facing a 14-0 defi cit and could not
fi nd much traction in the fi rst half against the Falcons.
They totaled 83 yards and fi ve fi rst downs on four real
possessions in the fi rst half (not including a fumbled
kickoff or kneel-down at the end of the half) and trailed
at halftime, 17-3.
The Jacksonville Jaguars were 4-4 and had plenty of
hope at the midway point, but losses in six of the last
seven games have dropped the 2019 record to 5-10.
Today’s season fi nale against the Indianapolis Colts
(7-8) is the fi nal chance for the players on this Jaguars
football team to get things on tape going into the
offseason.

After a 3-of-10 fi rst half passing, quarterback Gardner
Minshew II led a fi eld-goal drive in the third quarter to
get the Jaguars within 11 points. That would be as close
as the Jaguars would get.
