This week, the Jaguars face a Colts team
that they shut out 27-0 in Week 7 at Lucas
Oil Stadium, a game in which the Jaguars
sacked Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett 10
times. The Colts rank 27th in the NFL in total
offense, including 24th in the running game
and 26th in passing. In addition, the Colts
have allowed 47 quarterback sacks, the most
in the NFL in 2017.
THE OFFENSE
After struggling to gain only 70 yards in
the fi rst half against Arizona and giving the
ball away three times, the Jaguars offense
continues to look for consistency down the
stretch.
Quarterback Blake Bortles led the ground

for 62 yards and two touchdowns. They came
at a time when the Jaguars were searching for
answers on the ground; Leonard Fournette,
T.J. Yeldon and Chris Ivory combined on 16
carries for 29 yards in the game.
In the passing game, Bortles threw for 160
yards on 19-of-33 passing and threw a key
interception when the game was tied 24-24
in the fourth quarter.
Inconsistency in the starting offensive line
group over the last month could be partly
to blame. Injuries or illness have caused the
Jaguars to employ four different starting
lineup combinations over the last fi ve games.
Center Brandon Linder missed three games
with an illness then returned to play right
guard while Tyler Shatley remained at center.
