music. However as far as holding up the brand, we haven’t done much. Patriotism in my country is very low. We’ve seen what the Nigerians have done with Afrobeat – they held on to their brand but we didn’t. We are so critical about each other that we literally watched them take it away from us and made something out of it and now we’re complaining – it’s almost like we’re envious, it gets on my nerves. Instead of you holding on to what you have you’re busy arguing about if I created it. CM: Is ‘Keep Your Eyes on the Road’ your favourite song? RR: No, I like everything I create. Every song hits a different mood. CM: What inspired you? RR: The love of music and the excitement of the people. CM: Then you moved into the night life business. RR: That’s an investment. RR: Definitely, if not I will not be on the cover of Colossium Magazine hahahaha. I’m acknowledged for what I did. I left the West and came home to do something for Ghana and Africa. It’s something the generation after me will be proud of. CM: Is there going to be a last album from Reggie Rockstone? RR: Yeah. I am actually working on a new project. Something interesting.
