The
BATTLE
of
FOLDS
Samsung Galaxy Fold
Samsung and Huawei beats Apple to introduce the future
of smartphones into the consumer market. Are folds really
the future?
2019 will be the year of ‘folds’. At this year’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Huawei
one of the world’s mobile phone giants unveiled their latest invention – Huawei Mate X. This
comes after Samsung showed off its own long-anticipated Galaxy Fold folding phone. The
Huawei Mate X when released will be sold for $2,299 whiles its counterpart the Samsung
Galaxy Fold will go for $2,000.
Both devices are defining the future of smartphones.
They are what await us when it comes to smart phones.
Who wouldn’t want that? In recent times smartphone
manufacturers have been focusing on smartphones
with high speed cameras which consumers seem to
be having enough of. Since the’ no bezel screen’ era
came upon smartphone users, the question consum-
ers have been asking is what will be next? What
is the future of smartphones? When it comes to
innovation, there’s one company that comes to
mind –Apple! Unfortunately the smartphone and
computer company seems to be left out of the
race so far. Experts say that Apple is at least 2
years behind the ‘folds’ race which many Ap-
ple customers will not be happy about. Having
a phone that doubles as a tablet for the price
of one device is something everyone will
jump on board so this is bad news to Apple
fans – 2 years is a long wait.
