ADN: I feel as artistes we always have the
opportunity to project our culture and identity
to the rest of the world. We shoot videos and
grant interviews like this, so I like to take ad-
vantage of every opportunity to sell Ghana. I
am made in Ghana
JWK: What style or trend in Ghana, do
you think should end?
ADN: It’s even no more. There was a time when
everybody kind of puts a bow somewhere in
the dress - a big bow [laughs]. Although in a few
weeks’ time, I will do something with a bow.
JWK: About your fashion sense again. Do
you have a creative team that put everything
together for you?
ADN: Mostly, I’m the
brain behind most of
my looks. What I do
is, I envision what I
want to look like and
I think about who I
want to work with. I
have an idea then I
share with my styl-
ists.
JWK: Where in Ghana do you come from?
ADN: I’m a Fante but my dad is from South
Africa.
JWK: What Ghanaian social construct do
you think we should do away with?
ADN: Mob justice. But I think these days it has
gone down. I feel it’s wrong because in most
cases there were mistaken identities and fam-
ilies lose their loved ones. I hope we totally
eradicate it.
JWK: Will there be an Adina concert anytime
soon?
ADN: Hopefully, I think the fans will love that.
JWK: It’s been great having you.
ADN: Thanks for inviting me over.
