because it’s so beautiful and melodious - I loved
it.
JWK: What’s your favorite song of you?
ADN: I will say it’s my new song - On My Way.
I think it because it motivates and inspires me.
When I am down, it pushes me to keep going
forward and I believe anyone who listens to it
will feel that way too.
JWK: Which African artistes will you like to
work with.
ADN: I like to work with Tiwa Savage and Mi
Casa, maybe.
JWK: Do you feel female music artistes are
marginalized in the music industry?
ADN: I think it’s a num-
bers game. Promot-
ers don’t pick based
on equality but on
other factors. Yes we
have many males but
it doesn’t necessari-
ly mean there’s gen-
der bias on the side of
promoters and other
stakeholders.
JWK: What’s your most memorable perfor-
mance?
ADN: I will say my last performance - the Ro-
tary Concert. That was really fun.
JWK: Top 3 favorite Ghanaian artistes.
ADN: With the current ones, it will depend
on the songs that are out at a particular time
so I will just give it to the people from back in
the day - Ewurama Badu, Amakye Dede; he’s
still performing but he’s still a legend - Shallot
Dada. She did Jazz and covered a Beatles song
‘Don’t Let Me Down’. I wish I met her before she
passed on. I’m a big fan of history.
JWK: Let’s talk about your fashion sense
and style; you seem to incorporate a lot of
Ghanaian and African elements and prints
in your style. What’s your inspiration?
