September is National Apple Month, and it has
been a tradition of ours to set aside the week of
Sept. 18 to research, taste, peel, cook and can

We are going to discuss the numerous
varieties of apples, have a taste test to identify
types of apples, and pick some apples. Then, of
course, we will peel, cook, and make applesauce
so we can make our famous apple butter which
we will be selling at our annual craft show in
December.
Some other apple related activities include:

Tune Into TV Week
September is the biggest month of the year for
network television. It is a time when all of the new
shows premiere and the old ones return with new
adventures. What were some of your favorite TV
shows, both past and present?
Through a variety of activities the week of Sept.
25 - 30, we will look at TV shows from the past, play
a few game shows, and discuss how television has
changed through the generations.
So, stay tuned to the September activity
calendar for some thrilling, comical, and Emmy
Award winning activities.
