February is full of festivities. We have
Groundhog Day on Feb. 2, Super Bowl on
Feb. 4, Mardi Gras on Feb. 13, Valentine’s
Day on Feb. 14, Chinese New Year Feb. 16
and President’s Day on Feb. 20. Oh, and let’s
not forget the 2018 Winter Olympics that
begin on Feb. 9 and run through the 25.
We will be celebrating each of the special
days in a special way, so watch your calendar
of events to find our what exciting activities
we have planned.

balloons to sell as well as a variety of gifts to give
your loved ones, including personalized stuffed
animals, homemade heart shaped cookies on a
stick, candy-filled coffee cups, and candy-filled
character kids cups, just to name a few.
You can come to the activity room to view our
selection of puzzles and sample gifts.

Early Bird Gets The Worm Week
February is Bird-Feeding Month. We will also
celebrate Feed the Birds Day (Feb. 3), Nest Box Week
(Feb. 14–21), Backyard Bird-Watching Day (Feb. 2),
and Great Backyard Bird Count (Feb. 2–19). No won-
der we are "spreading our wings" this month. Don’t
forget, we have Love Birds Day on Feb. 14.
We decided to take the first full week of February
and dedicate it to our feathered friends. Some of our
activities will include: making a bird feeder full of
treats, drawing a Cardinal, making bird’s nest candy,
discuss some bird trivia, as well as differentiating the
different sounds that birds make.
