Colonial Springs Reflections April 2019 | Page 2

Spring Pests Spring has officially arrived, and so has the potential for those pesky little ants. We would like to remind our families that if you bring in any type of food, please place it in a sealed Tupperware type container with the resident’s name on the item. If it is something that needs to be refrigerated, there is a refrigerator located in the activity room. Please date the item and put the resident’s name on it. It can only be in the refrigerator for 3 days then we must dispose of it. This is per state guidelines. Thank you very much. Easter Baskets for Sale Beginning April 1, we will be taking orders for Easter Baskets. A sample of this year’s basket is pictured below. We will have both girl and boy bunny baskets. The basket will consist of a variety of candies and a chocolate bunny. Diabetic baskets will also be available. A few extras include a stuffed animal and an Easter Egg Sugar Cookie. The price of the basket is $9.00, for $5.00 you can add a small stuffed Easter animal, $8.00 for large Easter animal and $1.00 Easter egg Cookie. Personalize your basket or stuffed animal, $1.00 for each name. All proceeds from this event will go to the Resident activity fund which helps in going on outings and purchasing our residents ice cream or their lunches when we go out to eat. If you would like to order a basket, please contact Patrice Melton, activity director, at 417-345-2228 or email her at [email protected] Thank you ahead of time for supporting our residents!
