New Options in Healthcare
Courtesy Carrus Hospitals
C
arrus Hospitals serve the Texoma area and beyond
with an array of distinctive services. Their innovative approach to healthcare helps bridge the gap
between traditional hospitals and home. Carrus Specialty
Hospital is recognized for expertise in caring for those who
are critically ill and require extensive long-term acute care.
Carrus Rehabilitation Hospital provides in-patient rehabilitation therapies. Carrus Outpatient Services offer added
convenience for patients who don’t require overnight stays.
Carrus Specialty Hospital accommodates those patients
who are too ill, or with medical needs too great, to return
home upon discharge from a traditional hospital. Most are
in need of long-term critical care for medically complex
conditions such as cardiovascular issues, respiratory infections, neurological conditions, or multi-system failures. Patients may have had a stroke, need intravenous antibiotics,
require extensive wound care, or be ventilator dependent.
Carrus now provides ambulance service to transport patients from other medical facilities.
Carrus Rehabilitation Hospital offers patients intensive
therapy three hours a day, six days a week under a physician-supervised treatment program. Physical, occupational
and speech therapists help patients achieve greater mobili-
ty and strength so they can return to their homes with greater functionality and an improved level of independence.
Carrus Outpatient Services include IV infusion therapy,
CT scans, and a Sleep Center for adults and children who
experience sleep disorders.
Carrus Hospitals are known for maintaining high levels
of patient satisfaction. Patients enjoy private rooms with
exterior views, four themed courtyards, a landscaped
campus with a large pond, and convenient access for family and visitors. The interdisciplinary team is committed to
providing compassionate care that encompasses the whole
person––mind, body and spirit. They understand that hospitalization can be stressful and work to make patients and
families comfortable, ensuring the best possible experience
and highest level of care.
