Employee Involvement Groups ( EIGs )
Created in 2019 to aid NWTC ’ s efforts to diversify the workforce , EIGs support the recruitment and retention goals tied to employee and student success . EIGs are self-initiated , employee-led groups that focus on a common human characteristic ( such as race , ethnicity , generation , ability , gender , etc .). Groups are open to all employees .

Professional Development
NWTC has a variety of diversity and cultural awareness educational trainings and programs in which the campus community can learn more about veterans , disabilities , global issues , and current equity-related matters that impede the growth of ourselves and our students . Sessions include topics on social justice , lesbian , gay , bisexual , transgender and questioning ( LGBTQ ), disability , culture , generational differences , and more .
Walking our campus grounds , I ’ ve been watching the mosaic of diversity change before my eyes , and it ’ s beautiful . As we continue to normalize equitable practices and strive to be a college ready for our students , we need to be prepared .
