Following the mediation , the HB Team drove back to Houston from San Antonio . It is about a three ( 3 ) hour drive in the middle of the night . To celebrate the favorable outcome in the mediation , the HB Team had a midnight Texas pachanga at Buc-ee ’ s in Luling , Texas . If you haven ’ t been to Bucee ’ s in Luling at midnight , you haven ’ t been to Texas . We celebrated the hidden gift of helping pro bono clients and it all started at a cocktail reception . I hope you can find that same type of holiday gift at a cocktail party this Holiday Season . And , remember , if not for the College Foundation ’ s support of legal services organizations like SALSA , you may not find that same joy . Thank you for your support of the College Foundation .

Level ”. This is the first time in twelve ( 12 ) years that the College implemented a new and increased level of sponsorship . Your response has been overwhelming , and as a result , through the fellows ’ contributions , the Patrons and Sponsors Committee was able to not only meet its goal of $ 450,000 to support the College , but exceeded it by more than $ 75,000 . The additional funding will allow the College to participate in more programs , collaborations and partnerships with other organizations and to continue its role as a leader in the insolvency community . The Patrons and Sponsors Committee also reached out to smaller firms , solo practitioners and government employees to contribute at the beginning level . Our goal has been to have as many fellows as possible invested in our good works at whatever level is feasible for each fellow .
In closing , it has been a privilege to participate in so many good works on so many different levels on behalf of the College . I am extremely grateful to all of you for giving your time , talent and treasure to support our mission .

Closing , I realize that this will arrive during the winter holiday season when many of us give thanks for and share our blessings . Whether you celebrate Christmas , Hanukkah , Diwali or Kwanzaa , or simply just ring in a New Year , may the light and blessings of the season fill your heart and the coming new year .
