The Secret to Padre Pio's Stigmata
Shallelica Mean
P
adre Pio, a well known Saint, praised for his stigmatic wounds supposedly given
by Jesus Christ has been proven that he faked his holy wounds. Sergio Luzzatto,
the writer of Padre Pio and the Italy of the 19th Century,
gathered all the evidence he could find and compiled them
to conclude his opinion. Many religious believers think that
Padre Pio's stigmata was a gift from god, while others think
it was a fraud. Through extensive research, it was proven to
definitely be a fraud. The entirety of the evidence Luzzatto
gathered is all realistic and has a solid foundation of
evidence that proves stigmata is in fact phony. One solid
piece evidence of his stigmatic fraud is
the use of a poisonous substance to manipulate the hands and feet
of the victim. Padre Pio of course took this substance into use
which is named carbolic acid. This acid is known to cause burns
when it comes into contact with the skin. To back this evidence
up, there was a story of the pharmacist's cousin doing favors for
Padre Pio. She ran all the errands of obtaining this acid from the
pharmacy her cousin was in charge of. However, her frequent
visits to the pharmacy became suspicious. Her cousin eventually confronted her about
why was she visiting the pharmacy frequently. A surprise took a turn and she confessed
that she had been running errands for Padre Pio. She was unaware of what he used the
acid for since Pio used it in secrecy. Suspicion ran through the town concerning his
frequent use of carbolic acid. The pharmacist knew he was up to something.
The fact that a religious figure like Padre Pio faked his stigmata wounds leaves
me speechless. A Saint is suppose to set an example, not pouring acid to be praised
