Matthew & PaulA’s
Secret Wedding
LIFE AFTER THE ELECTION
‘You should have won, you know, says the
elderly man to Matthew as he takes his
coffee from the counter top.
‘I hear this a lot. Not a day goes by where
someone doesn’t say they wanted me to
win or I’ll get in next time. It’s very humbling
and I appreciate everyone’s support,’ the
34 year old entrapreneur explains.
Matthew Fraser was the Nationals Federal
Candidate for the seat of Richmond in
the 2013 election. Although winning the
primary vote and all the booths in the
Tweed region, Matthew was unsuccessful
at toppling long term Labor MP Justine
Elliot. As soon as the election was over
Matthew was right back to work. You’ll
quite often catch him serving customers in
his local HJ restaurants of North Tweed and
South Tweed.
“I love working on the counter, I always
have. It’s a great opportunity to connect
with my customers and I really appreciate
their loyalty,’ Matthew says.
The talk on the town has been circulating
regarding the high profile couple’s secret
wedding and Coffee Shop Goss can
confirm that Matthew and Paula officially
tied the knot on 11/12/13 with a no fuss affair
at the registry office in Brisbane followed by
a reception at the
historic Brisbane
Customs House.
‘It was a beautiful
day.
Very low
key with just our
immediate family,’
tells Paula.
‘We met while working at McDonalds when
we were about 15. We are made for each
other and are best friends.’
Despite rumors the couple has not ruled
out babies as the next phase of the ‘Fraser
Dynasty’. Coffee Shop Goss will keep you
posted.
