The Day the Kids
thought they
would die
If I had a dollar for every time I stated the
obvious ”back in my day” I would be rich, but
I found myself saying for the hundredth time
just that again to my children, “back in my
day we didnt have electronics, we had to
play with each other and make our own fun”
So the day we packed for our big adventure
on our Berger Houseboat, I insisted the kids
leave everything that required a battery or
electricity, at home, and that turned out to
be the best decision ever.
What began as Omg Mum
thats not fair, turned into Omg
Mum your awesome that was
the best fun we have ever
had. I believe firstly, that yes I
am awesome and secondly
those three days on the Image
Ann was truly a family bonding
experience that everybody
should try. Back to basic fun,
swimming, snorkelling, playing cards, fishing.
An unbelievable time with your family that
you probably haven’t experienced together,
for quite some time, (i know we hadn’t). The
Image Ann had everything aboard we
needed, so much room. We could also just
scoot around the Tweed River and drop the
anchor anywhere we felt like. The water was
crystal clear most of the time,
great for snorkelling and the
kids loved the fact we could
have the radio blasting top
and bottom. They were
exhausted by 7pm every
night, Yah!! and after a couple
of games of Uno and star
gazing on the Deck it was
nighty night. So if you want to reconnect with
the kids minus the gadgets (you can actually
take them I just told them you couldn’t) or just
have the break you know you deserve,
phone the team at Berger Houseboats asap.
