Football y Fútbol
Football is back to normal after the International break,
with the exception of all the players who are now on the
injured list. And with the transfer window only two
months away, clubs are busy preparing themselves to
strengthen their squads for the second half of the season.
Meanwhile Chelsea won, Newcastle scored six, Ronaldo is
Real Madrid's top goal scorer and Wayne Roony scored
against his former club, Everton.
But time to have a look at the bar talk world of football
gossip and it's all happening at the top clubs as apparently
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez wants to complete
the transfer of Chelsea forward Eden Hazard next summer,
before the 24-year-old's value rises even further.
Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in
signing 22-year-old Newcastle striker Ayoze Perez while
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is targeting Sevilla's
26-year-old winger Yevhen Konoplyanka.
Monday's Sun newspaper led with a story on Bayern
Munich and how they expect to beat Arsenal in the
Champions League this week and forward Thomas Muller,
26, says a move from Bayern Munich to Manchester United
is "not up for discussion". Marseille are on alert for the
transfer of Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina, 27, after his
falling out of favour at the Emirates Stadium while poor
little winger Chelsea's Pedro, 28, is finding it difficult to
adapt to English football after his £21.4m summer move to
from Barcelona according to the Mirror.
Swansea City boss Garry Monk has dismissed any
attempts by new Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to sign his
striker Andre Ayew, 25, as pure fantasy. Southampton
legend Matt Le Tissier says striker Sadio Mane, 23, leaves
him on the edge of his seat when he watches his former
club. Jan Vertonghen has praised team-mate and
compatriot Mousa Dembele, 28, as "one of the best
midfielders in the Premier League". Former Liverpool boss
Rafa Benitez offered Southampton £1m plus midfielder
Darren Potter for Gareth Bale in 2006. James Milner
believes Saturday's draw at Tottenham proved that Jurgen
Klopp has already made his mark at Liverpool.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo wrote “thanks
team-mates and Real Madrid fans for this beautiful
moment" after becoming the Spanish club's all-time
leading scorer in his side's 3-1 win over Levante.
After a 3-1 win at Crystal Palace saw his side go fourth in
the Premier League, West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna
said: "We really are the Hammers! Four away wins, 10
scored, one conceded. Surprise package they say? We're
comfortable up near the top!" Manchester United
midfielder Ander Herrera said “this is the way we have to
react after a defeat" having scored in Manchester United's
win 3-0 at Everton. After scoring twice from 2-0 down to
earn his side a point, Leicester striker Jamie Vardy said:
"Once again the fans were amazing! Thank you!

In the world of social media: it was Mother's Day in
Argentina on Sunday, and Tottenham forward Eric Lamela
tweeted his best wishes to his own mum along with this
picture. Chelsea and England defender Gary Cahill
tweeted that he was at Twickenham on Sunday afternoon,
to watch Scotland's thrilling Rugby World Cup clash with
Australia. Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney now
has 187 Premier League goals after his strike against
Everton at the weekend. He is second on the all-time list
behind Alan Shearer, and he tweeted: "Delighted to be
second in all time Premier League goal scoring charts. The
league I grew up watching and loved. “Manchester United
captain Wayne Rooney paid tribute to former Everton
manager Howard Kendall after his side's 3-0 victory at
Goodison Park and added a further message on Twitter
later on Saturday. “Great man, player and manager," the 30year-old former Toffees forward wrote. "RIP Howard."
Joey Barton is pleased to see his former Newcastle
team-mate Hatem Ben Arfa returning to form for Nice in
the French League. He tweeted: "Great to see the
enigmatic Hatem Ben Arfa playing football again. Such an
exciting player to watch when fully focused."
between Abbey Rangers and Dorking was abandoned
after players and supporters clashed at half-time. The
Dorking board issued a statement after the match saying
the scenes "have no place in football" said the Mirro r.
But back to good sports and Manchester United
legends Gary Neville and Ryan Giggs have reportedly told
squatters who set up camp inside a landmark building
they plan to turn into a plush hotel they can stay through
the winter to help rough sleepers.
Over in Spain, former Everton and Manchester United
manager David Moyes, currently at Real Sociedad,
apparently said it would find it hard to turn down an
approach from Aston Villa or so said the Daily Star Sunday
while Villa boss Tim Sherwood says Chelsea were "fluky" in
their 2-0 victory over his side at Stamford Bridge on
Saturday. The Liverpool Sunday Echo paid tribute to
Everton great Howard Kendall, who died on Saturday.

presently the Premier League's top scorer
Foxes team-mate Christian Fuchs posted a picture of
himself and Vardy celebrating their comeback.
Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure said Manchester
City's 5-1 thrashing of Bournemouth was "a great start to a
big week". Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle apologised
to his team-mates and the club's fans after being sent off
in his side's 3-1 Premier League loss to West Ham.
And in our believe it or not section, surely the majority
of footballers aren't overweight these days? Well,
according to NHS guidelines, 26 Premier League players
could do with losing weight to improve their BMI.
Norwich's Martin Olsson is top of this particular 26-man
table, which also includes John Terry, Yaya Toure and
Memphis Depay.
And in the not so sporting news, a non-league match

Up in Germany, Bayern Munich are targeting former
Chelsea and Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti as they
fear will lose Pep Guardiola to Manchester City while new
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he wanted to sign
striker Divock Origi during his time as Borussia Dortmund
coach but the 20-year-old chose the Reds instead.
Dortmund and Germany defender Mats Hummels, 26,
says he is "convinced" his compatriot Klopp can win the
Premier League with the Anfield club.
Arsenal want to sign Atletico Madrid's France forward
Antoine Griezmann, 24, before Euro 2016 with the
Gunners also interested in signing Russia forward
Aleksandr Kokorin from Dynamo Moscow in January,
having failed with a loan bid for the 24-year-old this
summer. New Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce wants
to sign QPR midfielder Sandro, 26, and plans to move for
striker Carlton Cole, 32, along with the West Ham defensive
pair of James Collins, 32, and Joey O'Brien, 29.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said 24-year-old Eden
Hazard was on the bench in the win against Aston Villa
because "we needed midfield players to be concerned
with being solid". Manchester United's Spain midfielder
Juan Mata, 27, has had an apparent dig at Mourinho, his
former boss at Chelsea, claiming: "If a luxury player is a
player who scores and assists and has good stats, then I'm
happy to be a luxury player." United and England defender
Luke Shaw, 20, is rated 50-50 by his club manager Louis
van Gaal to play at Euro 2016 as he recovers from a broken
leg and across town Manchester City are hoping to re-sign
Spanish youngster Jose Angel Pozo and add Sevilla's 17year-old centre-back Jose Maria Amo in January. Pozo, 19,
was sold to Almeria this summer but City have a buy-back
option.
Newcastle manager Steve McClaren says it will take
three "transfer windows" for the club to start to be
successful under his stewardship while West Brom
manager Tony Pulis said his midfielder James McClean, 26,
was "not the sharpest tool in the box" after becoming
involved in a post-match melee against former club
Sunderland. And as if we could really care, it looks as if
Romeo Beckham, 13, is expected to follow older brother
Brooklyn in leaving Arsenal's Academy noted the Mail on
Sunday.
