My parents encouraged me to learn to cook at a young age. I was 14. Although not a chef, I am interested in and like experimenting with different foods.
Having served in the U.S. Air Force (Viet Nam Vet) and retired from the NYPD, and getting older, I realized that cooking was yet another way to serve my country and volunteered to become an AUXCHEF in the Coast Guard Auxiliary.
