I used to fly Cessna planes recreationally in the mid-1990s, but my day job running a boutique real estate private equity has kept me on the ground since.

When I heard from a friend that there was a flotilla within the USCGAUX that carried missions for the USCG, I immediately got interested. In 2011, I joined the aviation flotilla, 10-20, based in Caldwell, NJ. My experience with the USCGAUX has been very rewarding - I get to combine experiences that give me joy serving the USCG and the community we live in. In 2019, I got interested in the Food Services program where I get to combine my love for cooking (and eating) and the ability to serve those who serve us.

The most memorable experience I have in Food Services is when a Seaman Recruit at the USCGC Katherine Walker (WLM-552) came up to me and expressed his gratitude for all the work that I do. That for me is priceless.
