Samford University “down time” is an opportunity we hardly ever have in
this profession, and we believe we can create some great
habits that can carry over once we are no longer working
at home. However, life without a plan or structure is
a REALLY hard world for me to live in, so Tuesday
evening, Ryan (my husband and also our other assistant at
Samford) and I spent some time creating a schedule that
we felt worked for us.
f you’re anything like me, the last week has created
a whirlwind of all different emotions. Instead of
welcoming our student-athletes back from spring break
with excitement, we are trying to navigate this “new
normal” of working from home and social distancing. It
all happened so fast, and honestly this week has certainly
left me swirling from time to time. This interesting Our schedule includes dedicated time spent toward
self-improvement, work projects, and house projects. We
created lists of these things so we can go back to it with
how to fill our “work” times. I would highly recommend
sharing your schedule with your roommates or spouses/
significant others to both hold yourself accountable but
also help them be aware of your work schedule. We felt
