Options for taking it forward
CLP CPD route : Coaches can complete all or part of the programme , gaining CPD recognition along the way . This route supports coaches who wish to expand their coaching knowledge and skills without the desire to achieve a qualification and / or achieve the occupational standard for coaching .
CLP combined qualification and coach status route : The awarding organisation , 1st4sport , have pre-approved CLP as learning which achieves the Level 2 Certificate in Coaching . This means that coaches who complete all elements of CLP can use the evidence gained as part of the assessment . What ’ s more , by achieving the 1st4sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching , learners with automatically achieve coach status . Please note , organisations who wish to offer this route to their coaches must be a 1st4sport recognised centre .
CLP Coach validation route : UK Coaching have partnered with CIMSPA and 1st4sport to offer a flexible route for coaches to gain the coach occupational standard . In order for coaches to achieve the coach professional status , they must complete all elements of CLP which can be used as evidence , and register via their organisation to be validated . In order for coaches to achieve successful validation , an assessment panel must be satisfied with the quality of evidence provided by the coach learner in achieving the level of coach status . Please note , organisations that wish to offer this route should express their interest with 1st4sport . Your organisation does not need to be a recognised centre to provide this offer , but must be registered with 1st4sport .
