Guiding Philosophy
The primary objective of CHS Athletics is to allow the opportunity for students to express themselves in their chosen athletic activity and to improve their quality of life .
Goals
• To provide opportunities for students to strive for excellence in the particular sport ( s ) chosen , by supporting them to :
• Achieve greater sense of personal growth in meaningful and challenging situations
• Set goals as an individual member of a group and determine the prerequisites to achieve these goals
• Develop lifelong recreational / competitive interests
• Participate in group activities which allow for the development of social skills and fair play Improve physical fitness and skill development
• Encourage interest in all school activities and develop school spirit
Athletics is an essential part of a balanced education program . Student athletes are held to a high academic standard and we expect all who represent CHS to conduct themselves in a manner that is a credit to themselves , the coaches , the department of athletics , and Crofton House School .
