Introduction to the Co-Curricular Program Co-Curricular Philosophy Academic Handbook 2020-2021 7 The Senior School’s co-curricular program is a hallmark of our extraordinary community. The program is aligned with, and supports, the vision, mission and values of the School. It is designed to encourage and develop the whole student. Crofton House nurtures student experiences through a range of high quality, diverse programs that are responsive to student interest and can be supported within our school community. Through participation in the School’s co-curricular program, a student is encouraged to explore and pursue her purpose and become an engaged member of Crofton House School. What’s happening? Fall: September to December • “Activities Galore” showcases all of the clubs available to Senior School students at the beginning of the school year • Auditions for the Senior School production • Major Trips information session, application, and payment • Outdoor Education trips for Grade 8, Grade 9, and Grade 10 • Fall sports are Cross-Country, Field Hockey, and Volleyball Winter: January to March • Senior School Production rehearsals take place • Senior School Production performance first week of March • Major Trips preparation and departure • Global Exchange application and interview process begins • Outdoor Education trip for Grade 11 • Winter sport is Basketball Spring: April to June • Leadership elections • Leadership announcement • Outdoor Education trip for Grade 12 • Spring sports are Badminton, Tennis, Track and Field, Rowing, and Soccer
