Global Exchanges
Our Global Exchange Program was established in
2015 and we currently have partner schools in
Australia, New Zealand and England. The program
relies on a strong sense of goodwill between the
schools involved. Our partner schools are:
• Ruyton Girls’ School, Melbourne, Victoria,
Australia (Grade 10)
• Saint Margaret’s Anglican Girls School, Brisbane,
Queensland, Australia (Grade 10)
• Waikato Diocesan School for Girls, Hamilton,
New Zealand (Grade 10)
• St. Hilda’s School, Southport, Queensland,
Australia
• City of London School for Girls, London, England
(Grade 9)
The exchange program is an exciting opportunity and
promises to build those skills that are integral to
success, both at school and in life: independence,
decision-making, social adaptability, resilience and
courage. Students who participate in the exchange
program are expected to be motivated by an interest
in experiencing education in another country and
engaging fully with new systems and people. The
program requires girls to be motivated about their
academic studies, able to self-direct their learning
and open to new and exciting experiences and
challenges.
How an exchange works:
• Selected applicants and families are paired with
a girl and her family from the partner school
• Participants travel to their partner school where
they will stay with their host family full time or
in the boarding facility during the week
• The Australia and New Zealand exchanges are
four to six weeks in length, and the England
exchange is two weeks in length
• CHS families reciprocate and host their exchange
partner for the same duration of time
• Students continue to be enrolled at Crofton
House School and are fully supported by CHS
staff while on exchange but become members of
their partner school community for the duration
of their exchange
• No fees or monies are exchanged between
schools or families. Parents cover the cost of
their daughter’s airfare, some excursions and
spending money
