The Business Club is a club through which students can
develop their knowledge of the business world,
participate in exciting activities such as monopoly
tournaments and a stock market challenge, and take the
initiative by suggesting new ideas. In past, we have
donated funds raised by the students to Finca, a
microfinance organization, and Happy Home, a charity
supported by the Roman Catholic Church for educational
support in Nepal. We will continue to develop marketing
ideas and take on business case competitions.
Students in this club organize weekly activities for
drop-in participants. Examples of the activities are:
chocolate chip cookie making, sewing stuffed
animals, decorating gingerbread houses.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a
global program with the goal of challenging,
empowering and recognizing young people between
the ages of 14 and 24. Since 1963, the Duke of Ed
Award has helped motivate young Canadians to set
goals and challenge themselves to take control of
their lives and futures. Duke of Ed strives to reach
young Canadians and provide a platform that helps
them chart their individual lives and equips them
with important life skills. There are usually one to
two multi-day trips per year, with additional costs
associated with them.
