A CHILDβ S PERSPECTIVE tasked me with
BRAD providing aβ Testimony From The Field " for this monthβ s HeartBeat article. A thought came to mind: we have been talking a lot about how to reach the younger generation / families, so why not ask my children what they think about the ministry of CMA and riding motorcycles? Many of you know our two birth children, Spirit and Ora, grew up in CMA and are now 23 and 19. Our adopted children, Lily and Arnie, are 13 and 10. 1 Timothy 4:12( NKJV) says,β Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.β Letβ s see what they have to say. SHAWNA:β What is your favorite event that you have participated in

at CMA and why?β
LILY:β Loretta Lynnβ s National Motocross Championships( LLMX). I like this event because we get to actually watch the racers race and we get to pray with them and give them a sticker. That is pretty cool.β
ARNIE:β I like Colors and National Rallies because I get to play with a lot of my friends that I donβ t get to see very often, and we get to learn about Jesus too.β
ORA:β I love LLMX because you make connections and build relationships with the racers and their families. Year after year, you often see the same families. During the week you get to register them, pray with them, and check in with them if you see them around the ranch. I like living life with them. This event is different fromβ normalβ ministry. Living life with the racers gives you the opportunity
|
to build relationships and share your faith with a big impact.β
SPIRIT:β LLMX because you are ministering to your peers. The racers are ages 5-50 +, so a lot of them were my age. You are serving alongside them and not just sharing your faith with them. I also really like the Thunder Beach Rally. It is a family-friendly bike rally, but you get to see theβ dark sideβ of the world. Even though there were hard-core secular bikers there, I still got to minister to them and shine the light of Christ into the darkness.β
SHAWNA:β How has CMA impacted your Christian walk?β
SPIRIT:β Being raised in CMA, I was raised to evangelize. Being at biking events helped me see the need for Christ in peopleβ s lives. You get to be a part of carrying out the Gospel, which weighed
