Linda Jacobi โ€“ Employee Benefits Manager Linda, a CMAโ€™ er since March 2016 and staffer since 2021, came on board as the Payroll / Employee Benefits Manager, bringing 27 years of experience in this same field at the university level. She is also a licensed massage therapist and notary.
Serving her local chapter as treasurer and chapter webmaster, she discovered God had a bigger plan than she ever imagined, including a servanthearted husband, a CMA motorcycle wedding, including riding their bikes to the altar with their local Chaplain officiating. Steve and Linda Jacobi have been blessed to do CMA ministry together.
After purchasing property adjoining Iron Mountain in 2021 with a five-year plan to build and prepare for retirement, God called Linda to her present CMA position, which includes a multitude of duties such as payroll and employee benefits, new hire meetings, state charitable renewals, vehicle registration / insurance and title transfers, and CMA personal property assessment filing / updates. Her notary status is invaluable to the ministry for all paperwork that needs to be verified and witnessed.
Linda is currently training her replacement for her pending retirement effective January 31, 2027.( God bless you, Linda. You will be missed!) Her goal is a seamless transition to ensure CMA ministry support continues.
And here is where the next two ladies come into the Finance Department picture. They may be new but have enthusiasm for the ministry just like the Israelites when Nehemiah asked them to help rebuild the wall in Jerusalem:
โ€œ They said,โ€˜ Weโ€™ re with you. Letโ€™ s get started.โ€™ They rolled up their sleeves, ready for the good workโ€( Nehemiah 2:18, MSG).
Natasha Brandani โ€“ Accounts Payable Coordinator Natasha has a bachelorโ€™ s degree in business administration and 24 years in merchant services underwriting, evaluating the financial stability, legal identity, and fraud risk of applying merchants. Day to day, she processes cash receipts, donation payments, bills, state taxes, CMA credit card receipts, and balances statements. Natasha, just completing her initial 90 days, is settling in nicely, enjoying the spiritual atmosphere and prayer group, and recently joined the worship team here at the Support Center for Chapel on Wednesday mornings. She is overwhelmed and thankful to God for opening this door.
Lindsay Trout โ€“ Payroll / Employee Benefits Trainee Lindsay was an experienced drug and alcohol counselor in drug court, a highly emotionally draining career field. Ready for some relief, she heard about the opening from a CMAโ€™ er at church. Still, her counseling work and schooling, consisting of three years toward a bachelorโ€™ s in psychology and two years toward a bachelorโ€™ s in nursing, didnโ€™ t exactly translate to the Support Center position. Knowing she lacked any of the qualifications, she was reluctant to submit a resume. With much prayer and a long cover letter accompanying her resume, she communicated her conviction that CMA was where she was supposed to be. God had a plan, connected the dots, and persuaded leadership to bring her on board. As the Payroll / Employee Benefits Trainee, she is absorbing the wealth of knowledge Linda Jacobi has so she can fill her position next year. Pray for Lindsay as she endeavors to learn all the ins and outs of this important job.
Kirstin would remind you that although God has grown CMA over the last 51 years into a big ministry that requires a Financial Department, it has never been about the money. God has provided every dollar to spread His Gospel and has allowed CMA, as a good steward, through wisdom, circumstances, and blessings, to remain debt-free. Thank you, CMA membership, for your generous support over the years. It wouldnโ€™ t have happened without your help! CMA
