KATHIE almost everywhere I go ; however , I take what she calls a “ guy trip ” once a year . This year , I planned to go to the West Texas State Rally with two of my State Coordinators . I needed a travel bag to put on my backseat for this trip . My Indian Roadmaster has some pretty good storage in my saddlebags and trunk , but not quite enough for what I would need for a 10-day trip , 2500 mile ride .
After searching the internet and reading dozens of reviews , I chose the Kuryakyn Torke Dry Bag . I wanted to be sure my stuff would stay dry if it rained a little . This bag is meant to remain dry , even underwater , if necessary . I chose well since we rode through some of the most drenching , nonstop ,

three-day rainstorms I think I have ever experienced ! Then , just when we thought it couldn ’ t get worse , we hit snow over a high mountain pass ! But , hey , those are the rides you talk about around the campfire .
So , waterproof turned out to be the first priority for me , and it performed as promised . The bag uses fully waterproof RF-welded TPU double-coated construction and IPX-7 rated waterproof zippers . I have no idea what that means . I just know my gear stayed dry . Not a drop of water seeped into that bag .
The bag is soft-sided , but rigid enough to hold its shape and includes some easily accessible , waterproof , external stash pockets . It even has an air purge valve to minimize it when it ’ s not full . I had it stuffed for this trip . It also comes with an accessory cargo net for the top of the bag , which was great when the sun came out , as I had a place to tie down my rain jacket to dry out .
Although the exterior is smooth and kind of slick , it has a nonskid
