I am so excited about the mission trip to Uruguay that we just returned from. The devil does not want us to go on these trips or spread the Gospel around the world because, together and as a ministry, we are a threat to him. To start with, we had to wait for our plane from Miami to Panama, which caused us to miss our connecting flight to Uruguay, so we had to spend the night in Panama. We were able to fly into Uruguay the next day and were met by some pastors with whom we would be working. To say they were excited to see us is an understatement.
The next morning, we hit the ground running and started visiting the missions that were hard at work in that country. We were the first CMA team to visit Uruguay, and the language barrier was overcome with the help of translators

and the love of God. We were told before the trip that there were not a lot of Christians in this country and not to be discouraged if they didnβ t want to talk to us. The truth is, we are all just people; the only and most important difference is that we have Jesus in our hearts, and they need Him. It is our job to tell the lost about Him. We go on these trips to show people what Run for the Son is doing in this part of the world, and boy, is the Holy Spirit working hard.
Our brothers and sisters who live there are working night and day and making all kinds of sacrifices to do what God has called them to. These pastors told us that they know this is a difficult place to spread Godβ s Word, but it is worth it. One pastor teaches kids to surf and then feeds them, all so he can have a brief devotional. Another pastor brings in men

who are trying to get off drugs and gives them a place to live and teaches them a trade. Now to the emotional part, we gave away eight motorcycles, and every pastor who received one was so grateful to the Lord and CMA. They could not believe that people whom they had never met would raise money to give them a motorcycle.
I find it incredible that for every motorcycle given away, ten new churches are established. This means that, thanks to the motorcycles distributed on this trip, eighty new churches will be started. Praise God! Additionally, there was a salvation on the street, as one of the team members led a resident to the Lord. I want to say a big THANK YOU to every member of our team who took every opportunity to talk to people about Jesus, and they didnβ t even complain when there was no hot water. Lynn and I were very proud to lead this team, and by the time we left Uruguay, we were not just friends, but family. I would like to thank Ryan Rivetto from MVI for all the assistance he provided us during this trip. I could continue to go on and on about this trip, but we donβ t have the time, so feel free to ask me about it when we see each other.
