( continued from page 12) duct background checks, assist members with using the website, process forming and chartering chapters, keep up with charts and records, and man the front desk and phone. Each takes a four-hour shift on the phone and four hours at their desks. This allows them to spend the time needed to pray, inform, and assist callers by connecting them to help in their local area through the CMA network without rushing to accomplish their other duties. And if that doesnβ t have you wondering how there is even enough time in the day, the three ladies in the Events Department monitor and manage 8 different email accounts! Whew!
Another big responsibility for
Cassidi is locating and securing away rally sites. This is quite an undertaking, and is always looming overhead, typically involving 10 months of work, ensuring a site that is rural with a Walmart fairly close by( for those must-have supplies), ample lodging, space for services, internet capability, tables, chairs, a secure Goodies area, and the list goes on. She queries the Region Evangelist and State Coordinators for eight or nine suggestions, narrows them down to two or three, and then makes personal visits in the spring. After securing site approval from the Executive Team, she must work on lodging, contracts, insurance, and advertising. Iβ m telling you it is no easy task, and believe it or not, she is currently working on the site for the 2029 National Rally!
Just a little tease, stay tuned for the announcement of the 2027 rally site during the National Rally 2026 because Cassidi says it is AMAZING!
