THIS ride is in the southeast corner of Idaho and starts in the town of Preston , just a few miles from Utah ’ s northern border .
Going north on Highway 34 , the ride takes you through open meadows and rolling hills , past ranches and small farms , and through small-town main streets . While the road is both easy sweeping curves and straightaways , the scenery is peaceful
and serene .
All along this approximately 150-mile round trip route are several hot springs open to the public , starting with Riverdale Resort , 6 miles north of Preston . This is a developed resort with swimming pools and a slide plus a smaller thermal pool for soaking .
