GLEN
McIntyre, our most senior staffer at the CMA Support Center and member since 1984, came to work in 1992 with a highly varied work experience. He started out in shipping and receiving, but with only three other people on staff, he did virtually anything that needed done. The Media Department was mostly audio in the early days. When leadership asked Glen where he wanted to be in five years, he readily answered,“ producing audio and video fulltime.” The reply came quickly,“ Go make it happen.” And make it happen, he did. Spending many hours of his own time at night and on the weekends, he taught himself about the equipment and researched the knowledge and skills needed. His acquired expertise even led him to teach a video production class at the local college in Mena.
Over the years, Glen developed the audio / video ministry at CMA into a first-class operation, from audio cassettes and VHS tapes to DVDs and, most recently, USB flash drives. Early on, the Hatfield rallies and off-site events were recorded to VHS and DVD. As technology never sleeps, it was only a few years before PowerPoint, ProPresenter, and livestreaming platforms spawned a giant leap in CMA’ s media quality, requiring additional personnel to manage the audio, broadcast the livestream, switch the PowerPoints, and project the speaker’ s image on the big screen to benefit the attendees at events or rallies. It is amazing what God has done in the CMA Media Department, from low-quality analog VHS recordings to 4K video with advanced capabilities for manipulating the image in post editing.
In the early years, Glen operated as a one-man crew. About 15 years ago, Darby Feil joined the team, bringing her degree in design, and has developed exceptional skills in video editing. She has become an invaluable part of the team. Over the past three years, Liam Hastey has also proven to be an outstanding addition. Through his college training, he developed an amazing eye for imagery along with strong talents in photography and videography.
With his gentle, encouraging manner, Glen effectively manages and guides the Support Center Production and Operations Teams. The five departments under Glen’ s leadership include Media, Events,
HeartBeat, Design, and Goodies, along with the subdivisions under those managers. Overseeing all this activity keeps him busy, and the duties are varied. Some days Glen is in the Media Department or at his desk answering emails, approving work orders, monitoring workflow, scheduling chapel activities; on other days, attending countless meetings with individual department managers and coordinating the interface among multiple departments on a single project.
Glen has a full plate, but he carries on with grace and determination, living out his goal of ensuring those he supervises succeed. He always tries to be available to help anyone who may need it. He appreciates that everyone at the CMA Support Center does their job well and is willing to work together when different depart- Glen is just one story of the impact donations to the general fund make in supporting the National / International Support Center. General donations and the sale of Goodies fund the operations and maintenance at CMA National, as well as provide for the maintenance and upkeep of our Iron Mountain facilities.
Above all, we want to thank you for your continued faithfulness to the ministry of CMA. Through your generosity, we are able to support evangelistic outreach to the motorcycling community worldwide with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
