SPECIAL FEATURE

your life to change? What needs to be different? Ask God to intervene. What needs to be healed? Who needs to find a relationship with Christ, ask God about it. Whether you are a motocross racer praying before a race or a grieving wife at the scene of a motorcycle accident, Jesus invites us to“ ask.”
“ I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it”( John 14:12-14, NLT)!
Again, whether you are praying for yourself, your family, or praying for your local CMA chapter, state, or even the entire nation, Jesus wants us to ask. Not only are we to ask, we are told to continue to ask, never giving up, even when the answer is slow to come( Luke 18:1-8). We believe in a God of miracles, and the Bible insists God’ s character and power remains the same( Hebrews 13:8). During this phase of our prayers, we should“ Keep on asking” in faith even if we haven’ t seen any outward progress toward the answer to our needs( Matthew 7:7).
Y- Yield“ And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice— the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’ t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’ s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect”( Romans 12:1-2, NLT).
Our prayers should include a time of yielding, of surrendering to the will of God in our lives. In the
incredible picture of Christ praying in the garden of Gethesamene, after pouring out his requests to God, he concludes his prayer by yielding to his Father.
“ Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine”( Luke 22:42, NLT).
Yielding means whatever happens or doesn’ t happen in response to these prayers, I am going to trust you Jesus. I am surrendered to your plans, your timing and your ways for my life and the circumstances around me. In addition, yielding means I listen to what God might be saying to me in prayer. Oftentimes, as I list my needs, I will hear the voice of God instructing me with a next step, or giving guidance about how to proceed. Yielding also means being willing to obey whatever the Lord says. The words of the virgin Mary provide the most perfect example of yielding in prayer,“ I am the Lord’ s servant. May everything you have said about me come true”( Luke 1:38, NLT). Offering ourselves to God in prayer can be seen as making a sacrifice, laying yourself down, completely available for His service and pleasure.
Why not try P. R. A. Y. out? The next time you block off time with Jesus, begin with a Pause, let your heart Rejoice, Ask him for what you need, and conclude by completely Yielding to Him. It’ s a simple framework, but it can take you into new realities in your walk with Christ.
CMA Day of Prayer- March 1, 2026 PRAYER POINTS 1. Pray CMA members would be empowered by the Holy Spirit as they go to share the love of Jesus along the highways and byways.“ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere— in Jerusalem, throughout
Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth”( Acts 1:8, NLT).
2. Pray for the evangelistic outreach at the many motorcycling rallies, races, and events this year. Pray for divine appointments and many laborers sent into the harvest.“ And he called his twelve disciples together and began sending them out two by two, giving them authority to cast out evil spirits.
So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to repent of their sins and turn to God. And they cast out many demons and healed many sick people, anointing them with olive oil”( Mark 6:7; 12-13, NLT).
3. Pray for the Lord to continue to generously provide resources for worldwide evangelism through Run for the Son in 2026.
• Pray for CMA members who are generously working so hard to invest in Run for the Son that their efforts would be multiplied.
• Pray that local CMA Chapters will continue to generously invest in the Kingdom of God through Run for the Son and that they would meet their goals for 2026.
• Pray that others would catch the vision for Run for the Son and the impact it is making around the world.“ For“ Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say,“ How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news”( Romans 10:13-15, NLT)!
4. Continue to pray for our nation, our leaders, and for the
