SHE SAID : THREASA WHITE
WHEN
Craig and I met in
2000 , I did not know what road our lives would take . I certainly did not see Hatfield , Arkansas , as being on that road or CMA being a stop on the road . At that point in time , I had never heard of either of those !
After Craig and I were married in February 2001 , we were blessed to live a successful life with great jobs , substantial salaries , and many earthly possessions , including a motorcycle . We were together , seeking things to fill our marriage and time . This led to many hobbies , trips , and time spent trying to fill the void God could only fill . We were saved but not fully living for the Lord .
I ’ ve given my testimony about how when Craig ’ s job of 19 years ended – due to cut-backs and a corporate office relocation – I was supportive and suggested he take time to come to CMA in Hatfield and volunteer to help fold RFS shirts . He took me up on that suggestion and took off on his Victory
Vision to Hatfield in June 2014 . During that time , he met several folks at CMA and ended up in a long conversation with Clint Davis , the IT Manager . When Craig called to let me know of the conversation and that it was quite possibly a job interview , my words were , “ Oh no , you did not . I ’ m not moving to Arkansas !” Be careful of the words you speak !
God had an incredible plan for us , and we did move to Hatfield , and Craig joined the support center staff in September 2014 . It took a little longer for me to come on board – due to my budget planning , I did not see a way we could both work at CMA and make ends meet . I declined the first offer in January 2015 to come on staff , but by April , I heard from the Lord and obeyed His voice . With tears in my eyes and in between great sobs , I made the hard call to CMA and asked if there was still a position for me . The answer was yes , and at the end of April 2015 , I joined the
Support Center staff . Craig and I were both concerned about our finances . How could we live on less than onethird of what we previously earned ? What would we have to “ give up ” or “ live without ?” The answer to that is nothing ! Every need has been provided , and every bill has been paid . We both fully believe God called us to CMA , and He has provided our every need – financially , spiritually , and in our positions at CMA . Neither of us was “ qualified ” for the positions we currently fill at CMA , but God has given us talents , wisdom , and guidance for every step of the way .
If you – fellow CMA ’ er – are looking at your life , wondering if God is calling you to come to CMA and work at the Support Center in Hatfield – I have one word for you . LISTEN ! God will provide and want to use you far beyond anything you can think or imagine . CMA
